Tall Non-Fat Latté with "Toast Dope"

Tall Non-Fat Latté with This is what gets me out of bed: the anticipation of a tall non-fat latté to warm and wake me up. Slowly sipping my coffee while reading email or the newspaper is a decadent way to start my day. Many years ago, my husband gave me an espresso machine for Christmas, and it was the best $300 we've spent. I use it every day, sometimes more than once a day. Although the grinder died about a year ago, and it's starting to leak water, I've been able to feed my daily caffeine addiction.

I have always sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top (and I can't understand why Starbucks doesn't have cinnamon sugar as one of their options at the bar). When Mary Lou mentioned this recipe on Twitter, I knew I would have to make a large supply.

2 tablespoons raw sugar
Zest of 1 orange

i thought i'd just let you know that starbucks does have cinnamon sugar topping, they call it cinnamon dolce. u can just ask for the sprinkles on any latte. but this sounds so good, they should pick up this recipe.

This makes me want to buy the espresso machine ASAP! I could probably afford it considering how much I spend on lattes at work!

looks inviting in cold days. our weather is pretty much the opposite of yours. we're in the cold desserts or icy pops kind of thing while you're having hot desserts and hot cuppa hehehe

YUM! That looks awesome - in fact, I could go one now! I've been trying to drop a lot of hints to my partner that I'd love a coffee machine for Christmas but I'm not sure if he's getting the hints...

Can't wait to try this. I used to have a great little coffee place in Glasgow where they did latte with a hint of chilli. Great on a cold day. Love your blog.

i used to work at a barnes and noble cafe (where, incidentally, i became addicted to caffeine), and i often suggested adding a shaker of cinnamon sugar to the bar. they never listened. :)
